My epic 9-day road trip to Chicago and the Twin Cities, aptly titled "The Great Journey to the North Country," is complete!

The quest: to determine whether either city would be a relocation option for this Fall.

I lived in Chicago three years ago, just out of school.  On this trip, I rekindled my love for the Windy City.  The architecture is breathtaking.  Ezra and I found ourselves at an ATM in a T-boned block that includes The Rookery Building (dating back to 1886), the Chicago Board of Trade, and the Federal Reserve Building.  And we looked up in awe.  Then crossed the street and looked up again.  In awe.  And then remembered that this same block was featured in "The Dark Knight."  And we were really excited.

Chicago feels like magic to me.  The El charms me with its rattle and its scenic neighborhood routes.  In a city of 7 million, I bumped into a few people I befriended three years ago - in the audience of a show, on the El, at the Equity office.  Unbelievable.

So I've determined that, in the past six days, I've spent approximately 24 hours on the open road.  It's. Been. Awesome.

In Atlanta...
Free show, drinks with actors, GREAT audition: check.

In Richmond...
GREAT audition, celebratory dinner with newly MFA'ed friend, camping outside in a thunderstorm: check.

In Hendersonville...
Free show, excellent sushi, new headshots: check.
